| Bit of History |
| The Bowman family purchased the SherMac in 1968
and renamed it the Cherokee Drive-In after a family member who was
part Cherokee. ~~~~ In 1972 Ted and Joanne Bowman purchase it from his parents and change the name to Cherokee Restaurant. ~~~~ On October 17, 2005 Aaron and Lisa Tyler purchase the Cherokee Restaurant and continue the family tradition of good food at reasonable prices. |
